PADI Award

Red Sea Diving College has been recognized again this year in the PADI Industry awards 2006.. In recognition for services to PADI International Ltd, the award was to celebrate our “Outstanding Contribution to PADI Diver Education”. Alain Sobal, CEO of Red Sea Diving College, gladly accepted the award earlier this month.

HISTORICAL CHAMBER TAKES PRIDE OF PLACE

Over 13 years after the first purpose built Recompression Chamber facility was opened in Sharm el Sheikh, Red Sea Diving College has, in recognition of the superb work and support Dr Adel and his team give to the dive community, presented him with a little piece of history which is very close to his heart – the very first Recompression Chamber in Sharm El Sheikh.

Red Sea Diving College Celebrates  a Milestone Birthday!

August saw the Red Sea Diving College in Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt celebrate its 15th Birthday.

The Birthday celebrations got off to a great start straight after the diving day had finished. Preparations had started much earlier when the rinse pool was drained to make way for the drinks for the evening and more importantly the ice blocks to cools the drinks in the 40 degree heat!

Red Sea Waterworld Taba Spring Clean

In an effort to make the reefs as healthy and stunning as possible in the build up to a busy summer season, Taba staff took it upon themselves to organise a clean up. 3 teams, led by IDC Staff Instructor Emre, removed rubbish from their confined area, the popular Marina Bay Dive site and above water on the Marina Bay Beach. Included in the haul, which filled a pick up truck and trailer were some unusual finds. A road sign, a mummified sea bird and a 25 piaster note, which was recycled (it went towards the beer fund!). Unfortunately the enthusiasm went a little too far when a pair of supposedly discarded flip-flops turned out to belong to an officer from the coast guard who was going for a swim a little further up the beach!
