The Master Scuba Diver rating is the highest recreational diver rating in the
PADI program, and denotes superior achievement and proficiency.

Achieving the Master Scuba Diver rating requires that an individual
be certified as:

• A PADI Divemaster or PADI Assistant Instructor, and must have certification in any five PADI Speciality ratings.
• A PADI Advanced Open Water Diver or Advanced Plus and a PADI Rescue Diver, with certification in any five PADI Speciality ratings.
