| PADI Semi-Closed
Rebreather |
This course is designed
for use with the Dräeger Dolphin Semi-Closed Rebreather. You
will be trained in the recreational use, benefits, hazards and
proper procedures for using the Dolphin to a maximum depth of
30m using Enriched Air Nitrox.
You need to be aged 15 and a PADI
Nitrox Diver or equivalent. |

This course is unit
specific to train divers on the use, application and techniques
of the AP Valves Buddy Inspiration Rebreather. The unit is a
complex, versatile Nitrox and mixed gas rebreather on the cutting
edge of technology.
The course is 6 days duration.
You need to be aged 18 with PADI
Nitrox Diver or equivalent with 50 logged dives. |

Rebreather Divers |

You are welcome to use your rebreather at the
College. For guests diving with the College we can supply Oxygen at
a pressure of 150-200 bar and have spare sets of 3L tanks for the
Buddy Inspiration to help you cut down on the weight.
Sofnalime, is available here, but the cost is very high so bring your
own if you can.

The College was the first
dive centre in Egypt to introduce the use of Enriched Air in
July 1993, followed by the Closed-Circuit Rebreather (Buddy
Inspiration) in July 1998
and from February 2001, the Semi-Closed Rebreather (Dräeger/Dolphin). |
You are welcome to use your own Dräger unit at the College,
we do however have a number of units for rental at US$ 40 per day
plus CO2 absorbent.
