PADI Drift Diver

Do you dream of flying? Take the PADI Drift Diving specialty and learn to glide along dramatic Red Sea Walls as if you were truly aloft. From entries and exits to signals and safety, you will learn the way to use the sea’s currents and have the most relaxed and enjoyable dives imaginable.

What’s involved?

After a quick briefing, it’s off to the sea for your underwater adventure.
In constant underwater contact with the instructor, you will be led around the beautiful reef spotting some of the thousands of corals and fish.

Knowledge development

  • the planning, organization, procedures, techniques, problems and hazards of drift diving
  • proper procedures for buoyancy-control, navigation and communication
  • special equipment – floats, lines, reels
  • site selection and overview of aquatic currents-causes and effects
  • techniques for staying close to a buddy or together as a group

2 open water dives
The course can be combined with a Nitrox course

Requirements

Open Water Diver, Junior Open Water or equivalent
Older then 12 years
1 recreational dive before the course to check weights, buoyancy and equipment
